		For private clients, JKL specializes in the completion of projects that take place in areas that are less than ideal. At sites where limited space, local requirements, and adjacent lots complicate the development area, JKL's engineers work with the client and municipality to design innovative solutions that adapt to the surroundings with a careful long-term vision.

 

This residential project is located at a site declared by the village to be a local poor drainage area.  After conducting a drainage and floodplain study, JKL determined the lot's high water elevation and decided to make adjustments to the location of the existing house.  By shifting the house within the lot and also raising the foundation, we moved the structure out of the flood area and regraded the lawn areas to match the adjacent lots.
